Last week I really believed to be looking into the eyes of God. Jumped into the warm sea at Chumphon Pinnacle, near Koh Samui, Thailand, and immediately saw a young whale shark just below the water surface, swimming towards me and passing slowly in about 2 feet distance. What a beautiful animal!
A few minutes later, at 60 ft depth, a couple of bull sharks joined in and observed us from a distance. Scary!

If you are on holiday in Puerto Rico, and you are a rum lover, you should not miss the opportunity to go to the very source of good rums, to the Bacardi Factory near Cataņo, Puerto Rico. It is located right across the bay of San Juan, about 20 minutes by car from central San Juan. The entrance is free, plus you get two tickets that you can exchange for free Mojitos at the outside bar. The barkeeper will mix you some of the tasty original rum drinks involving all available Bacardi Rum varieties.<...

Puerto Rico Beaches on the South Shore

Besides the beautiful and bustling north shore, Puerto Rico shows a very different face on its quiet south side. The climate here is usually much drier than in the north, and there is less touristic development, which makes the south a nice spot to escape and relax, and see a different side of Puerto Rico. There is plenty of small boutique hotels, eco-resorts and lodges that are nestled into the beautiful natural surroundings.
